A proposal for solutions will be prepared to improve the supply of those populations that are currently supplied by small reservoirs in which recurring shortage situations occur. The project has an estimated investment of 1.5 million euros and an execution period of 14 months Mytec The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has put out to tender the specifications for the contracting of the consulting services in charge of drafting the project to urgently improve water supplies in the Central-South area of the province of Badajoz. The works, which will require an investment of €1,483,806.57, will have a completion period of 14 months.
The objective of the assignment is to prepare a proposal for UAE Email List solutions to improve the supply of the populations in the area. Specifically, from the municipalities belonging to four large supply communities: Los Molinos, Llerena y Azuaga, Tentudía and Jaime Ozores, with a total population of 157,000 inhabitants. All of these localities are mainly supplied with surface water regulated by various reservoirs, most of them small in size and located on rivers with little supply, which causes recurring situations of resource scarcity in the event of drought.
The report of July 1, 2022 carried out by the Territorial Shortage Units of Molinos-Zafra-Llerena, Alange-Barros and Tentudía indicates that these localities are currently in emergency. The situation of the Tentudía Commonwealth, which has been living with this scenario uninterruptedly since September 2021, is especially worrying. To solve this situation, the Guadiana Hydrological Plan contemplates complementary measures to guarantee 100% of the demand assigned to this Commonwealth given that the resources from the Tentudía reservoir only guarantee 79.2% of this demand. Thus, the tendered study will have to find the most appropriate solution for Improvement of supply in the area around the Alange dam (with resources from the Villalba de los Barros reservoir).
