2030, Year ZERO of pensions in Albania
In 2030, the pension system in Albania may become insolvent. It is a realistic scenario, if we consider the demographic projections and the continuing increase in the pension scheme deficit. 2030 is not a year, whatever it is, in which the children of the ' baby boom' of the former communist period retire, that is, those who were born in the period 1963-1965, when Albania was at the peak of the realization of the third five-year plan.
